Chromium carbide is a kind of high melting point material with good wear resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance in high temperature environment. It is made of nickel chromium alloy and cemented carbide particles. Plasma spraying method can be used as high temperature resistance, wear resistance, oxidation resistance and acid resistance coating. It is widely used in aircraft engines and petrochemical mechanical devices, which can greatly improve the service life of machinery. It is also commonly used as grain refiner of cemented carbide and other wear-resistant and corrosion resistant components. Cermets based on Cr3C2 have excellent oxidation resistance at high temperature.

It can be used in chromium carbide ceramics. As a melt blown material, coarse-grained chromium carbide forms a melt blown coating on the surface of metal and ceramics, which endows the latter with wear-resistant, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant properties.

It is widely used in aircraft engines and petrochemical mechanical devices, so as to greatly improve the mechanical life. Also used for spraying semiconductor film.
